Knowing what you want to do and doing it are two separate issues. Simply wanting is not enough... determination and persistence make the difference.
Decide what you want most. Prioritize your wants and then create a plan that meets your priorities. If you are determined to become financially independent, it is really quite simple: Spend less than you earn, or make more than you spend and wisely invest the difference.
One way to help establish your priorities is to write down your answers to the following questions:
- How do I want to be remembered by other people?
- Do I want people to identify me by what I own or by who I am?
- What sacrifices am I willing to make in order to create my own success?
