Use the table to compare the attributes of various savings and investment options. This chart is from the book Yes, You Can Raise Financially Aware Kids. It is divided into two categories
1) Those that children can do on their own
2) Those that will require an adult to open the account
You'll also notice that we have identified two types of investments Lender Investments and Owner Investments. With Lender Investments you are "lending" your money to an institution with the promise of getting back, with interest, after a set period of time. An Owner Investment gives you the opportunity to become an owner of property, common stock or mutual funds.
